18 Bagel Brunch Sponsored By Students for the Soviet Committee for the Defense of Peace.
19 1st Year J.D. Legal Writing Work Shop for First Year Students: How Lawyers-in-Training Can Writing Clearly and Concisely, Including Box Lunch, Please Attend, 1st Year Students or Others Who Would Like Legal Writing With Assistance (if you are in your 1st year or not specifically).
20 1st Year Introduction to Where To Find Your Reading Materials full-day seminar.
22 Fall term classes begin.

September

1 Final deadline to submit outstanding 2003–04 written work granted an extension.
4 Restrooms re-opened for fall term.
7 Labor Day – Labor Law class is cancelled.
8 On-campus interview process begins and ends.  Please sign up for the available interview slot on clipboard outside Office of Career Services closet. First-come, first-serve.
11 Dean’s Birthday – 15th Annual Mandatory School-Wide Carnival on Front Lawn, will not under any circumstances be rescheduled.
18 Pro Bono Workshop — help us free Prof. Edwards from prison!
21 Cafeteria Inspection Day — it’s safe to eat the food!
24 Dred Scott Remembrance Day – No Classes.
29 End of September.

October

1 Academic Year Tuition Deadline.  All students must be paid in full by end of business day, 12:30 pm.
15 Last day to drop a Fall course (the notation of F will be recorded on your transcript for these Fall drops).
18 Writing Project registration deadline for all upper level students who wish to undertake an independent writing project in lieu of any 2L or 3L classes.  List of available mentors is located on clipboard outside of Legal Reading & Writing Office, Rm 196B.
20 Atrium Bird Celebration Day.  Birds trapped in the atrium will not be shot at today, so feel free to walk through the atrium without protective gear.
23 Faculty Beach Day – No Classes.

November

26-27 Thanksgiving Holiday – Classes Scheduled As Usual.

December

1 Driver’s Ed begins for high school students borrowing our campus.  Take extra care when walking.
4 Last day of 1L classes.
5 1L Exam Day.  Please note this year’s schedule:  Contracts 6AM-9AM, Property 9AM-12PM, Torts 12PM-3PM, Civil Procedure 3PM-6PM, Criminal Law 6PM-9PM.  Good luck!
6 1L Winter Term begins with Winter Term Introductory Festivities at 4AM on the banks of the canal.  Bring your own fireworks.
11 Last day of 2L and 3L classes.
12-13 2L and 3L Naked Study Days in Student Center.  Socks not permitted.
14 Restrooms close for fall term. Will reopen in spring.
15-18 2L and 3L exams or optional brain scans in lieu of exams.
18 Fall term officially ends; adjunct professor cannon shots at 1PM sharp in atrium.  Come wish an official farewell to your discarded professors.
27 Christmas Day Observed — Campus Closed to All Vagrants

Spring Term 2017


January

11 1L Winter Term ends. Winter Term talent show begins at 7PM.  No food.
18 Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday Observed — All Students Are Asked To Report to Canal at 10AM for March on Washington Re-Enactment, Winter Canal Cleanup, and Live Moot Court Finals. 
19 Spring Term begins.  First day of all classes.
20 Spring on-campus interview process theoretically begins today.
26 Deadline to register for summer research funding.  Spend your summer researching possible funding sources for the law school.  (Free sodas — it’s fun!)
26 3Ls:  Deadline to order your caps, gowns, and official MLS graduation rifles.

February

1 1Ls:  Deadline to submit topics for First Year Legal Writing Paper Report Assignment.
3 Have You Ever Wanted to Learn to Knit?  Think about it.
10 A new reality show about life at law school will be filming on campus on this day.  Please be sure to dress appropriately and avoid saying anything negative about your law school experience.  We reserve the right to withhold degrees from students who represent the school poorly on television.
15 Final date to drop a Spring course (the notation of F for Final Day will be recorded for these drops).

March

14-18 Spring Recess — Optional Trip to Third-World Country TBA to Study Backwards Legal Regime.

April

1 April Fools Day — No Classes — Or Are We Fooling You?
5 1st Year Summer Job Search Workshop — Bring Your Resume and Enjoy Hearing About Jobs that are Already Filled.
27 Last day of classes.
28 1L Exam Day. 
29 2L and 3L Exam Day.
30 Spring term unofficially ends.
31 Spring term officially ends.

May

2 Last day to clear out your lockers before we let the vagrants pick over your remaining property.
3 Summer student move-in day.
4 Spring student move-out day.
7 Last day of pay until August for all full-time law school staff.
13-14 Alumni Weekend!  Welcome back all of our distinguished graduates and their home health aides!
17 Class Day.  This year’s speakers, who will receive honorary degrees from the law school, are currently scheduled to be legendary comedian Bill Cosby and former President of Iran Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
18 University Commencement and Degree Conferral.
19 Restrooms close for summer.
